J.C. Stanaland

FROM THE BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY OF PRIMITIVE OR OLD SCHOOL BAPTIST MINISTERS BY DAVID MONTGOMERY AND MARK GREEN:

ELDER J.C. STANALAND

Elder (J.C.) Judge Columbus Stanaland was born on January 28, 1951, in Foley, Taylor County, Florida.

At the age of eleven, he was baptized at Blue Springs Church, Madison County, Florida by his grandfather, Elder Wesley Columbus Stanaland. He was ordained to the full work of the ministry on April 1, 1990, at Palm Chapel Church, Crestview, Florida. His dear wife, Sister Sarah A. Stanaland, is the granddaughter of the much respected Elder T.C. Mooney of North

Georgia. His initial rejection of his call into the ministry brought much grief to himself and those around him as the mighty hand of God pressed upon him. After submitting, his life has been marked by the typical peaks and valleys of any minister who strives to be faithful to his beloved master, yet he would quickly testify that the Grace of God, with its rich joys, has abundantly filled his life. He is currently serving as pastor of St. Andrew Church in Panama City, Florida.
